The grand show commenced by the arrival of various Prominent personalities in the field of architecture Chief Guest, Ar. Rajan Nadkarni, the Key note speaker Ar. Khushru Irani. There was a colourful welcome followed by lighting of the lamp.
This year Students elected their own council for the better functionality of academics and student activities.
This year the cultural event of the college was named Amedhyam and students’ participation in Dancers, Singing and Acting competitions is seen. The event was followed by an music Concert which gave students a source of enjoyment.
13th April 2019
Day 1 of conference was registration and paper presentation. The day started with breakfast and Registration participants from different places arrived and done registration. The program started lighting of lamp by dignitaries Ar. Narendra Dengle, Dr. Ravindra Deshmukh, Dr. Sushant Patil and Dr. Uma Jadhav. The paper chosen to present were on Tracks Eco Design and Structure and Materials. Participants from Nagpur, Pune presented papers.
12th February 2019.As a part of FDP (Faculty Development Program) we have organized one day workshop on Statistical Techniques in Research by Dr. Roshan Kazi on 12th February 2019 from 10:0am to 4:00pm.

Day 7 (8/08/2019) The union of parents and teachers is very important for the betterment of the student’s improvement and future endeavors. This meeting was held for the interaction between teachers and parents of the First-Year student of DYPSOA.
Freshers party was organised for the First-year students by the second years in DYPSOA. The programme had a lot of fun activities as well as an interaction of the students and an idea of vertical studio interactions emerged
Independence Day celebration was organised by DYPSOA, Ambi. The celebration was conducted by the High School students as well as Junior School students of DY. Patil. Patriotic song and dancing competition were held as well as small skits on National Values were enacted.
The Zonal Convention for NASA 2018 for zone 3 is hosted at Dr. D.Y Patil School of Architecture, Ambi. Pune. This is a mega event witnesses a footfall of more than 800 students from Zone 3 from across the state and around 200 professionals. Students participated in various trophies, workshops, seminars and cultural events.
Book Donation was held on 17th February by Ar. Ravindra Deshmukh sir to DYPSOA. This Act will not only help the faculties but also help the students to read more interesting books and enhance their knowledge.
Study tour for Fourth year students was commenced between 26th November to 4th December 2018. The tour was about understanding of a settlement which was part of their Urban Design curriculum.

Assemble at College Campus at 08:30pm to proceed to Badami by Non-AC Push Back Seated Bus. Overnight Bus Journey.
This session was organised for the faculties to understand the importance of health and wellbeing and to exercise regularly for optimum output and energy and positivity in life.
We have also made a MOU with Folk Fitness as a part of Faculty Development and every alternate Saturday the sessions would be held.
All the faculties with the principal visited to a nearby lake and spent an afternoon well. Loads of interaction and discussions were done as well as joy and happiness were overwhelming.
Hands on workshop on Dome construction was conducted for the students of F.Y. Arch by Ar. Durgesh Kulkarni as a part of Building Technology and Material.
Menavli is a village about three kilometres from Wai in the district. The village's claim to fame is due to the palace (wada) built by Nana Fadnavis,18th century Maratha statesman and the regent of Peshwa Madhavrao II.
The Odisha study tour was very successful. Students documented the Heritage Village of Saharanpur and got an intensive understanding of Indian history from 1st Century CE.
We at DYPSOA, Ambi have always given importance to Sports and Extra Curricular Activities.
An Exclusive sports department is set, Ar. Akif Pathan is the Sports Co-Ordinator.
The Story of You’ Exhibition was successfully completed, installed and opened to publican 20th March 2019 at the Deccan College Archaeological Museum, Yerwada, Pune. The objective of this intervention was to create an engaging exhibition using the objects of the Archaeology Museum, Deccan College in order to increase the footfall.
Lecture talk was arranged for the students to understand the Building services and technology. This lecture many students to interact with the professional and get knowledge of the current technologies used in building technologies.
15th December 2018. Lecture talk was arranged for the students to understand the importance of food and nutrition in the day to day life. He also enlightened us regarding mental and physical well being.

17th July 2018 – Lecture by Dr. Sachin Boarse – Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Government College of Engineering, Shaqra University, Saudi Arabia explaining the various HVAC systems.
21ST June 2018 celebrated international yoga day by demonstrating various yoga -Sans under the guidance of Mr. Ratnakar Jadhav and Mr. Kshrisagar.
3rd July 2018 - Topers in Thesis Project from SPPU belonging to colleges like PVPCOA, Allana College of Architecture etc. presented their work and the process behind the entire output.
19th June 2018 – Lecture by Ar. Sharad Mahajan explaining the evolution of architecture from early times till todays date and its influence in the society.
18th June 2018 – Presentation by Ar. Ajay Vaidya – a young architect inspiring students and explaining various aspects/problems involved in any design through his projects.
15th June 2018 – Lecture by Ar. Rahul Navle exposing students to the various aspects of sustainable architecture and highlighting on the process and analytical thinking.
5th June 2018 – Design & Technology Elective - subject meeting of all colleges in the SPPU held at DYPSOA to finalize the objective and other details.
23rd -26th March 2018 - Ar. Sanjukta Das: presented paper in ‘Interpret Europe- heritage and identity conference’, in Koszeg, Hungary on the topic: “Understanding heritage from the perspective of nature-culture linkages- case of Majuli River Island, Assam”.
February 2018 - Famous Bollywood Singer Shankar Mahadevan interacted with students and performed live. All the staff and students enjoyed the soulful and fun filled melodious voice.
February 2018 - An annual cultural meet organized to exhibit various skills like singing, drama, dancing, music bands, fashion shows, etc.
10th Feb 2018 – “Vijay -2k18” - Annual inter-departmental sports competition fest conducted at DYPTC, Ambi campus which boosts the mental and physical health of the students and help develop qualities like team work, co-ordination, decision making, etc.
Students celebrated traditional day, signature day etc. giving a festive feel in the school.
8th March 2018 – celebrated Women’s Day to thank for their contribution in each aspect of life.

3rd Feb – 7th Feb 2018 – Metal Workshop by Ar. Sanket Jain was held for student’s demonstrated reuse of metal scrap – turning scrap into an installation where they explored cutting, welding, grinding and various other aspects related to metal work.

5th Feb 2018 – Students interacted with Ar. Benninger and Ar.Ram Shetti from CCBA on various queries, design philosophy and bond they shared with Late Ar. De and interesting stories revolving around architecture and life.
3rd Feb – 4 Feb 2018 – Students demonstrated their model making skills by preparing the model for ‘Suzlon- One Earth’ – at different skills.

An exhibition – arranged for the first time at DYPSOA Ambi, was covered by the local press and also showcase the quality education that the school endeavors.

7th January 2018 – A tribute paid to our beloved Professor Late Ar. Abhijit De whose sudden demise left us speechless and shocked. We would remember his life teachings and his presence will be always felt blessing us.

11th Nov 2017 – Conducted by Ar. Durgesh kulkarni to make FY students understand various types of bonds and junctions used in brick masonry, where students practically experienced technicalities of building a masonry wall.
27TH OCTOBER 2017 – This event was held at Kondan Retreat near lonavala for all the faculties where there was brain storming on various architectural and other topics including an outing, games and sports activities to develop bonding and team building amongst each other.
The festival was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zest by the students in the campus.
Celebrating 70th independence day highlighting the current scenario in the country through a drama.
Conducted by Ar. Prakash Joshi to understand and learn different techniques for architectural rendering for the first years. He taught students quick and easy techniques in various mediums like water colors, pencils, etc.
2nd Nov – 5th Nov 2017 – “ Aabhas “ – held at Sinhgad College of Architecture, Vadgaonbk, Pune. Our student’s secured thirst place for project on Carbon Neutrality and also won six on the spot competitions.
Students worked on redesigning an abandoned Bus- Stop/ Newspaper stand at Akurdi. This project displayed the effective use of scrap materials available in and around the vicinity.
Students worked on recreating/ reuse of abandoned/ unused public spaces. They redesigned a space near the Talegaon Railway station for the Locals to gather, get information on traffic rules and also facilitate parking space for public transport vehicles.
29th August 2017 - Apollo 2017 – An red carpet laid for the new ones by seniors to build an healthy bonding and showcase new talents with fun, games and entertainment.
1st July 2017 – inter class Sports competitions – Outdoors and indoor sports events took place to develop students physically fit.
23rd November 2017 – Dr. Ravindra Deshmukh conducted an orientation demonstrating various architectural styles evolved from traditional to modern times and showcasing key architects setting trends.
26th August 2017 - Tree plantation activity - Just like these students are saplings who will be nurtured in architectural education, these saplings symbolizes the student life and its growth and journey through the five years.
25th August 2017 - Book fair – Three day book fair organized by DYPSOA. Inaugurated by FY student Ms. Ashwini Mohidkar and Master Dipayan Sarkar giving insight to students and faculties to the newly and old published books to widen their horizons of knowledge on various topics.
24th August 2017 - T-shirt painting and Parents meet – Painting on various given themes, Students came up with innovative ideas and displayed wonderful fusion of creative ideas with colors.
23rd August 2017 - Heritage walk – Guided by Ar. Kalamdani visiting various historic structures situated in Pimpri - Chinchawad area, Pune. Places like Chafekar wada, mangalmurti wada, moray goswami temple, kalbhaorav temple, etc were visited.
22nd August 2017 - Vertical events – Architectural Quiz, Eco Ganesh Idol, Food Competition, Newspaper Sky Scraper, Junk Sculpture, Story Board.
21st August 2017 - Umbrella painting activity – A competition where students were independent to create a design on the canvas of umbrella. This helped teachers to gain an insight of the student’s skills, their understating of creativity and potential with time management.
8st July 2017 – Fun with paper – Design costumes with newspaper, enabled students to understand pros and cons of given material producing the costumes creatively.
1st July 2017 – logo design and face painting – To design logo for all the event series and list all these events under one name under this - AIKARTHYA (oneness or unity of an idea or of aim or intentions). It followed with face painting design explaining the concepts they built.
24th June 2017 – Architectural Quiz Competition – The event was conducted by Ar. Abhijit De, to give a quick check the grasping and understanding of students which made them realize importance of reading and observations.
17th June 2017 – Class decoration – to encourage students working in studios for maximum time, which helped them boost their creativity and team working. Amazing ideas were born and implemented.
