KNOWLEDGE CENTRE
Knowledge center caters to different mediums through which students can access different books, instruments, computers, etc. to enhance and ease the experience of studying. It comprises of Library, Computer Lab, Studios, Climatology Lab, Surveying Lab, Material Museum, Workshop, etc.
1. Studios:
A studio in Architecture College plays an important role in the journey of learning. The school comes alive with the interesting studio atmosphere and its relationship with students. The studio desks are designed in a way that it accommodates personal lockers for students. The studios are very well naturally lit and ventilated; opening towards serene natural landscapes. Studios are large enough to give proper maneuvering space.
2. Library:
DYPSOA is a large sanctorium of knowledge which will help students for acquisition of knowledge and information comprising of books, architectural journals, and an excellent digital library which includes e-books and e-journals. It is well lit and comfortable. Books available are – Titles = 1010, Volumes – 1765, National Journals – 19, International Journals = 8.
3. Computer lab:
DYPSOA has well equipped computer lab with all the latest architectural software’s like AutoCAD, 3D Max, Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop, etc. which are available to all the students for their enhancement of knowledge through its use. It is always accessible to students and can make full use of these labs during their practical classes, work with faculty on other academic and co-curricular assignments as well.
4. Climatology Laboratory:
DYPSOA has a well-equipped climatology lab which helps the students to learn aspects of climate and its relation to architectural design. It is equipped with instruments like Stevenson’s Screen box, different rain gauge, soil thermometers, etc.
5. Survey Laboratory:
A well-equipped survey lab is available for the students to have practical of surveying and leveling.
6. Material Museum:
DYPSOA has a material museum which exhibits different materials used for/in construction to promote the knowledge, awareness and understanding for the same.
7. Workshops:
The Workshop is well equipped with adequate tools and modern machinery. All workshop sessions are conducted by qualified, experienced and dedicated staff. The Workshop on campus aims to simulate an industrial working atmosphere which consists of a carpentry shop, welding shop, plumbing shop, fitting shop, machine shop and tin smithy, CNC machines, etc.
